We prepare surfaces, board and bond where needed, and skim to a flat, blemish-free finish by hand. Damaged, blown or cracked plaster is cut out and made good so you are not decorating over problems.

Can you skim over old artex or walls?

Often yes — we can overboard or bond and skim to give a smooth modern finish over artex and tired walls.

Why is my plaster cracking or blowing?

Movement, damp or failed old plaster are common causes. We cut out the failed area and re-plaster properly.

How long before I can paint new plaster?

Fresh plaster needs to dry fully — usually several days to a couple of weeks depending on conditions — before painting.

Do you fit coving and cornice?

Yes — we install and repair coving, cornice and decorative plaster mouldings.
